MEAN WELL - Announces News for LCM-IoT and PWM-IoT Series
With the growth of 5G telecommunications, lighting products should integrate with intelligent control.
The goal is to integrate lighting fixtures and household devices on the same network and control them via an APP.
In 2019, Mean Well released the LCM-40/60BLE LED driver series, with CASAMBI Bluetooth Mesh module.
In 2020, Tuya from China and Silvair from Poland, two new brands of Bluetooth mesh modules, were added to the LCM-IoT and PWM-IoT series.
All models can be applied to any indoor or commercial appliance; through the APP, you can schedule the timer and perform other functions.
To create your own intelligent lighting control system, you can use compatible third-party devices such as wall switches or devices with light sensors.
The Bluetooth network can serve as an indoor localization gadget, evaluating the distance between lighting fixtures and mobile devices; it can also automatically connect devices to a self-organized network system.
Full wattage series are announced, including the LCM-25/40/60 IoT series, in constant current mode (CC mode) adjustable via DIP Switch, and the PWM-60/120 IoT series in constant voltage mode (CV mode); the LCM-25/40/60 BLE series has PUSH dimming functions, with the traditional button; this way, not only is traditional use maintained, but lighting control becomes smarter; furthermore, both series can be used for the same project.
