COTEK - Using the AE/AEK Series with 380 VAC 4-wire input
In many factories and industrial installations where high-power ac dc power supplies are required, it is a common requirement to have and use a three-phase power supply voltage at 380 VAC with 4 wires [3P4W - 3 Phase 4 Wires]
The AE/AEK series of programmable Cotek power supplies with power ranging from 800W to 3KW can be connected in parallel [current sharing] to meet higher power applications.
In these types of applications, many customers ask us if it is possible to use a configuration with multiple power supplies to be able to use a three-phase power supply voltage at 380 VAC with 4 wires and achieve the so-called 3P4W configuration.
Although the programmable power supplies of the Cotek AE/AEK series have a single-phase input, it is possible to connect multiple power supplies to comply with the 3P4W installation requirements and use a three-phase power supply voltage at 380 VAC.
Below is the connection diagram using 3 power supplies from the AE/AEK series of COTEK.
* this connection diagram is valid for the "AEK-3000HV ORing Diode version" which is equipped with diodes in series on the outputs.
For the series connection of different power supplies, it is recommended to refer to the specific AE/AEK series manual.
