Miniaturized high-efficiency 1A switching DC-DC regulator Mean Well - 2021

MEAN WELL presents the new non-isolated, high-efficiency, miniaturized 1A switching DC-DC regulator, the N78xx series.

Its pin-out is fully compatible with traditional linear voltage regulators 78xx and 79xx with lower efficiency, so it can be used as a direct drop-in replacement.

In the N78xx series, thanks to its 96% high efficiency, no external heat sink is required.

What are the main applications of the N78xx series?

The N78xx series has been designed to be used in:

power supplies
distributed systems
