Gemini SC Series - Inverter / Battery Charger

Introduction to Battery Type Selection

The SC series of inverter-chargers can connect to different types of batteries (default Gel). Users can select the mode (Gel, Flooded, AGM, Custom) with a series of control options that meet the charging characteristics of each battery.

  1. DIP switch
  2. Protocol communication (RS-232 via PC)
  3. Remote Controller (CR-20C)

The following table shows the four different types of batteries and their voltage at each charging stage.

NOTE!

The default mode is 'GEL'. For Equalization, it needs to be manually turned on via CR-20C, as the function remains off by default.

Introduction to Custom Charging Settings

For special batteries (including lithium ones), the user can select the battery type through two control options:

  • Protocol communication (RS-232 via PC)
  • Remote Controller (CR-20C)
Let's look at the following example. It's a simple datasheet of a lithium battery found in the marketplace. We will use Custom Mode to recharge it.

Battery specifications: 12.8V / 105Ah / 1344Wh Lithium battery.

Follow these steps:

  • The maximum charging voltage is 14.6V (marked in red) (each cell is 3.65V
