New EN50155-certified Mornsun DC/DC converters: perfect for the railway sector!

Mornsun continues its research and development of new devices suitable for specific sectors and this time releases a new series of DC/DC converters certified with EN50155, perfect for the railway sector.

The URF1D_FB-400(H)WR3 series offers highly performing models of DC/DC converters. The products provide 400W of output power without a minimum load, along with a wide input voltage range of 66-160VDC, with a working temperature up to 100°C.

The models come with protections for undervoltage, overvoltage, short circuit, overtemperature, and offer remote ON/OFF control. The series complies with IEC/EN/UL62368/EN50155 standards.

1. Wide working temperature range for challenging environments

When it comes to the railway sector, temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C outside the carriage are considered, but the internal PCB can even reach up to +85°C. Mornsun has specifically focused its efforts on expanding this range, allowing for safe device use.

The entire URF1D_FB-400(H)WR3 series offers an ultra-wide range from -40°C to 100°C, with excellent derating curve and low overheating, thus promoting reliability and long-term durability.

2. Reinforced isolation at 3000VAC for high safety

The railway certificate EN50155 has high safety requirements, such as maximum input-output isolation at 1500VAC, as well as strict EMC requirements, shock and vibration, extreme temperatures, high humidity, and so on.

The URF1D_FB-400(H)WR3 series features input-output isolation at 3000VAC, input-case at 2100VAC, output-case at 1500VAC. The models are built following the strictest safety rules and comply with certifications for the railway industry.
