The new POE60U-1BT (60W) and POE90U-1BT (90W) single-output products from Phihong will be the first on the market to meet the current IEEE802.3bt standards, approved in 2018.
"The proliferation of devices connected to the Ethernet network has increased the need for a product that can provide power greater than 30W, as currently specified in the IEEE802.3bt standards for Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE).
To meet these demands, the IEEE committee has developed the IEEE802.3bt standards, which allow for reaching 90W of power per single output." - says Tom Chin, Senior Marketing Manager at Phihong. "Phihong will be the first company to introduce mid-span injectors compliant with current standards to the market, expanding its leadership in this sector."
Currently, a POE provides a maximum of 384W total to be distributed among three outputs. Once the new devices are connected to the network, Phihong's injectors will offer an economical and scalable solution to support them, without having to resort to more expensive new switches.
The POE60U-1BT and POE90U-1BT are ideal for many applications, such as cameras, videophones, access control devices in facilities, WiFi devices, POS terminals, multimedia kiosks, and IP servers.
