UNIPOWER announces the acquisition of the Network Power System (NPS) division from BEL FUSE INC.

Unipower announces the acquisition of the Network Power System (NPS) division from BEL FUSE INC. (NASDAQ: BELFA), previously part of Power-One.

The NPS division, specialized in the design and production of high-quality and advanced technology DC Power Systems for use in Networking, Telecommunications, and high-speed data transmissions, further strengthens UNIPOWER's presence in the Global DC Power System business.

NPS brings a wide range of state-of-the-art products, including high-efficiency rectifiers, Power Systems, and DC/AC Inverters. The acquisition of NPS with its customers worldwide further expands UNIPOWER's global footprint. In addition to the recent acquisition of the C&D Technologies Integrated Power Systems Business, the acquisition of NPS reinforces UNIPOWER's goal to become a global provider of Power Systems and related services.

UNIPOWER's Integrated Power Systems Business offers products from 3 Companies to its customers; UNIPOWER is also working to provide the next generation of DC Solutions for Telecommunications, Broadband, and other "Mission Critical" applications.

The transaction involves Bel Fuse transitioning processes and personnel to Unipower under an interim agreement; Bel Fuse will also continue to produce the NPS product line for another 24 months.
