Feed up to 64 DALI devices with universal network input.
September 3, 2014 - Taipei, Taiwan - GlacialPower, a division of the Taiwanese technology manufacturer GlacialTech Inc., announces the new DP004N-16V that adds to the DALI product line.
The DP004N delivers a current of 200mA to the DALI bus, enough to power up to 64 devices. Compatible with the DALI IEC62386 standard, the DP004N-16V model accepts an input from a universal AC network ranging from 100V to 240V to deliver a constant voltage of 16V. Short-circuit and overload protections ensure users a reliable power source.
DALI at its maximum power
The DALI bus is the new standard for standardized lighting control that offers granular control, excellent energy efficiency, logarithmic dimming, and a simple topology for centralized lighting control. A DALI network can include up to 64 independent devices, organized in groups of 16. Each DALI network needs to have the bus powered, and the DP004N-16V provides power for this requirement up to 200mA, enough for a complete DALI network (128mA), and has additional power to feed other DALI devices without the need for additional power supplies.
DALI Standard
DALI products are now a consolidated standard, making products interoperable and installation of a control system very simple. The DP004N-16V is compatible with other GlacialLight devices (both from other manufacturers and brands) such as the DA02 DALI Converter that interfaces devices operating with traditional analog 1/10V dimming to a digital DALI network. A system powered by the DP004N-16V can support a maximum wiring length of up to 300m with a voltage drop not exceeding 2V.
