Phihong introduces the new PPL series of single output desktop power supplies from 18W to 300W.
(June 2019) - Phihong, a world-leading OEM power solutions manufacturer, has updated its desktop adapter line and launched its new PPL series of desktop adapters certified UL and IEC62368-1.
The new safety standard 62368-1 for audio/video equipment and information and communication technologies comes into effect in December 2020, replacing the previous standards 60950-1 and 60065.
Phihong's new PPL models will allow current customers to comply with future requirements.
The desktop power supplies from the new PPL series offer excellent value for money and are available in 18W, 36W, 65W, 90W, 160W, 200W, 250W, and 300W configurations.
Available standard output voltages vary by model and include 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 18V, 24V, 36V, and 48V.
All models come in a fully sealed, splash-proof case and are available with an IEC320 C14 input, while the 18W, 36W, and 65W models are also offered with an IEC320 C8 input.
They feature protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits, and also meet Class B conducted and radiated emissions specifications.
All models meet level VI efficiency requirements, and most models up to 250W also comply with the stricter European Union Voluntary Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency of External Power Supplies Level 5 version 2.
The PPL series is designed with flexibility that allows modifications to the output cable and connector without affecting safety agency certification. Product modifications can be made for annual volumes starting from 500 units.
